This is a 220 words post (as a minimum).
When I was a university student I always wanted to keep studying. Unfortunately I never had the money and time to do it. In fact, I could barely pay my university fees and I had received to get my first university degree.

In addition, in those days (a long time ago) getting a scholarship was a matter of having strings to pull or not. If you were just a nobody with no influential friends, your chances were pretty much reduced to zero. My dream was to do a Master in English l, ever since I can recall, English was a fascinating subject for me. Having an excellent teachers at university made me wanted it even more. I could see myself at best unis giving a lecture on some famous writers or books.
It probably doesn’t feel interesting for most people but for me, it is totally captivating. My plan was to teach in both, Chile and England.
So you have taught in England? :0 That's so cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's very bad that at that time the money was the impediment, but I hope that now or in the future you could be able to do it, never is too late
ReplyDeleteI think you still have a lot of time to continue study, even a lifetime :)
ReplyDeleteIn Chile, you have to go into debt and have contacts to have more "success". I hope you can do the master that you want one day, it's never too late :).
ReplyDeletelamentably do a post graduate studies is expensive, so get a scholarship was a great oportunity, but i think that we always can find the way to do what we want to our own time :)
ReplyDeletemeritocracy doesn't exist, everything is based on influences nad opportunities that don't depend entirely on us, that's kinda sad
ReplyDeleteHi! I hope you can achieve your goals, it's never too late.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunalety there are many difficulties to study here in Chile, I hope that you have an opportunity for you continue studying
ReplyDeleteIt's a big challenge to do both, teaching in Chile and England, but I believe in you, besides doing a mastery in Chile is so difficult for the money you have to spend :(
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that I could say to you is that you can always make your dreams come true!
ReplyDeleteOw! If you still want to continue studying, the government, through ANID, offers full postgraduate scholarships that you could apply for. You could take a look at them.
